About Larry Booksh

Larry J. Booksh, Jr. was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and relocated to Northeast Ohio with his wife Renee in 1999. After dedicating eight years to youth ministry, Larry transitioned into the insurance industry in 2010. In 2013, he founded The Independent Life Insurance Agency, driven by a commitment to prioritize clients without the constraints of quotas or company affiliations.

Larry holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA®). This specialized certification allows him to guide clients through complex Social Security decisions and help them get the most from their benefits. His educational background and extensive experience in both ministry and insurance equip him to provide exceptional service and personalized solutions to his clients.

When he’s not working at his agency, Larry enjoys exploring the numerous hiking trails in Northeast Ohio with Renee and their daughter Caroline. He is also an avid reader, coffee enthusiast, and wine connoisseur. Larry takes great pride in supporting his daughter Caroline, an accomplished Irish dancer, at various competitions (Feis) throughout the year.

Larry and his family feel blessed to call the beautiful town of Hudson, Ohio, their home. They cherish the sense of community and the opportunity to live and work in such a vibrant and welcoming area.
